MosquitoGuard Facts
We apply a professional barrier treatment to the areas where mosquitoes, ticks, and other pests live and rest, including shrubs, trees, shaded areas, under decks, around the home perimeter, and outer yard edges.
Yes. Once the treatment has dried, typically within 30–60 minutes, children and pets can return to the treated areas. Always follow technician instructions after service.
Our treatments help reduce mosquitoes, ticks, spiders, wasps, Asian beetles, gnats, flies, and other common nuisance insects.
When used as directed, applications are generally safe for use in Wisconsin for controlling mosquitoes, ticks, gants, flies, ants, spiders and other unwated pests, provided the label directions on the insecticide used are followed strictly. Each application report is documented and given to the customer.
Premier Yard Shield is our strongest, longer-lasting option and is applied every 3–4 weeks. Eco Shield is our botanical-based option, ideal for lakefront properties, sensitive areas, and eco-conscious customers. It is applied every 2–3 weeks.
Absolutely, We offer the ECO Shield plan that uses our botanical-based option, ideal for lakefront properties, sensitive areas, and eco-conscious customers. It is applied as directed on the label every 2–3 weeks around and near water, but never direclty into the water.
No. As long as we have access to the treatment areas, we can complete the service and notify you when it’s finished.
Before an application, please close windows, bring in pet bowls, toys, and outdoor cushions, and make sure gates are unlocked. Mowing before service also helps maximize coverage.
Once dry, the treatment is designed to stay in place. Heavy rain shortly after application may reduce effectiveness, so we’ll work with you if weather becomes an issue.
No service can guarantee 100% elimination, but our goal is to dramatically reduce mosquito activity so you can enjoy your yard again.
Most customers notice a major reduction within 24–48 hours after treatment.
Yes. Single applications are available and are great for parties, events, weekends at the cabin, or immediate relief.
Yes. Our seasonal plans provide protection all summer and early fall with scheduled treatments throughout the season.
Every visit includes premium service: yard perimeter inspection, wasp nest removal from eaves and soffits, spraying around the home exterior, full yard spray, and outer barrier protection.
Yes, MosquitoGuard is insured and application technitions are Commercial Pesticide Applicator Certified from the Wisconsin Department of Agriculture, Trade and Consumer Protection (DATCP). Applicators are 5.0 Aquatic and Mosquito Pest Control, 7.1 Structural Pest Control & 3.0 Turf and Landscape certified.
We are a local family owned business that services the areas of Hayward, Minong, Spooner, Cumberland, Rice Lake & Birchwood.
Prices listed on the website is all-inclusive for up to a 1 acre property. We do service properties larger than 1 acre, for an additional fee. Please contact us for a free quote.
